Kicking things off on May 6 is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness directed by Sam Raimi and starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the franchise's primary sorcerer. Now, it currently has three films set for 2022 - and all of them are sequels. Much like the DCEU, Marvel Studios' MCU also had to change its slate a few times due to the coronavirus pandemic. Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II all return from the original movie. closes out 2022 on December 16 with James Wan's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom starring Jason Momoa playing Aquaman. The Flash is slated for a November 4 roll out. Sasha Calle officially joins the DCEU as Supergirl. Meanwhile, Andy Muschietti's The Flash will see Ezra Miller reprise his role as Barry Allen in this time-travelling/universe-hopping adventure that will see Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck revisit their respective versions of Batman, as well. ![]() After years in production limbo, the film is finally coming to theaters, and aside from its titular character, it will also introduce the Justice Society of America. On July 29, Johnson officially debuts as Black Adam in Jaume Collet-Serra's Black Adam. ![]() The rest of Warner Bros.' films for 2022 all exist within the DCEU. ![]() The film revolves around Superman's dog, Krypto (voiced by Dwayne Johnson), assembling his own team to save the captured Justice League. follows it up with the animated film, DC's League of Super-Pets, on May 20.
